Tier 1:
Simple but effective. Texture paint, colour, drybrush and base rim.
This style can be applied around the contact points between the model and the base to be primed and painted at the same time as the model.

Tier 2:
Using the same basic elements as tier 1 but incorporating some points of interest into the base texture; rocks, tufts etc.
A good way to easily differentiate specific models like special weapons or musicians in a unit on the table top.

Tier 3:
Sculpted to include a level of verticality to set the model higher than their peers. Including skulls, rocks, roots, grass – whatever is needed to tell a story with multiple chapters.
These bases are constructed and painted separately to the model, to be attached when both are complete, before some finishing touches to blend the two together.
Perfect for single models like heroes or unit champions, or a unit or even a whole army!

Custom basing:
Basing really has no limits. I’m keen to discuss any ideas you have no matter how big!
